Some customer comments
Hallo Peter u. Lyn,

Amy Richert and Paul Goodall - Virginia USA:
Dear Peter and Lyn,
Paul and I have fond memories of our tours with you.
Thank you so much! We tell everyone about the gorgeous scenery and how Peter knew how all the towns were settled and named and exactly where to stop to stay over night.
It was truly an amazing experience. It is a good thing we had some excitement to come home to. Otherwise, it would have been really difficult to come back after such a great trip.
Theresa Scoble – London UK:
Dear Lynn
I was glad to hear from Marge that the trip went well on Sunday. Thanks for taking her and for looking after her so well.
She said how much she enjoyed it, and thought you were extremely nice. I hope she will go on a trip with you again some time.
Thanks too for your kind E-mail this morning and the photos - it really is very thoughtful of you. I am so glad the day was enjoyable and that there was wildlife to be observed. I wish I could have been there myself.

I have had the pleasure of taking two tours with Peter Haller, when I have visited South Africa from England.
I employ a chauffeur myself and am a discerning client. The planning and choice of accommodation also the places visited have been excellent. Peter is attentive and polite and pays attention to detail.
Being on a tour has meant that we have seen more than the average tourist does and with allot more comfort. I recommend him as a tour guide.

In February 2005, during a holiday in South Africa, my husband and I used Umzantsi Afrika Tours to take us on a private tour of the Garden Route area. We were fortunate that Lyn Haller joined her husband, Peter Haller, for this tour so we had the benefit of two excellent people taking care of us.
From the moment that Peter presented himself at the door to our hotel room to pick us up, we knew we had the services of a first rate guide and tour operator. He was punctual, smart and friendly and saw to our every need as we were leaving the hotel.
His vehicle was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and well turned out, with bottled water always within reach for passengers to help themselves.
This first impression was an accurate indication of how the tour was to progress. We could not fault Peter s plan for our tour and Lyn constantly checked by phone that all was in place for the next event or stage of our journey.
Peter had an itinerary of interesting and beautiful sites arranged for us and, as he drove, pointed out and explained the history, geology, facts and figures of the area through which we passed. Peter s knowledge was matched by his safe and comfortable driving.
The accommodation pre-booked for us was superbly chosen and couldn't be faulted and Peter knew which reliable restaurant would be good for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Peter and Lyn would sit with us at meals and were interesting, agreeable companions.
We eventually realized how Peter had a regard for our personal safety, keeping a quiet and unobtrusive watch wherever we were, always within range of us and always alert to who was around.
This was much appreciated. We also registered how Lyn would be the last to leave premises, making sure nothing was left behind and seeing us safely back on the vehicle. Always, our welfare was uppermost in her mind, going as far as fetching more bottled water for us during an interminable traffic jam.
These small and seemingly insignificant gestures gave that upper level of excellence to a good tour and we appreciated the efforts of both of these fine people. Peter displayed cheerful flexibility by last minute changes to the planned activities and places in our timetable.
He even shuffled arrangements to provide time for us to have a three hour steam train ride delivering us to the train and then meeting us at the other end of our journey! Peter Haller, Umzantsi Afrika Tours, was good value for money and we would recommend him to anyone interested in touring South Africa.
I will certainly give his details to any of my friends here in Australia who wish to see South Africa with an outstanding guide. We were sorry to see the last of Lyn and Peter Haller at the end of our Garden Route tour because they had become tried and trusted friends by the time they delivered us to our next holiday accommodation.

Thank you for your help and organization of the bus for my students to and from Tsitsikama. Everything really went very well. I will definitely be contacting you again early next year to arrange the transport for the 2006 field trip!
Marja-Lisa and Ossi Soupanki - Finland:
Having returned back home from a wonderful trip to South Africa I
want to send our best regards to you from both of us and thank you
once more for having been our good guide on the Garden Route. We
have wonderful memories from our trip and a lot of photos taken down
there.
Diana - Holland:
Thank you for a lovely trip. I enjoyed what I saw and you were good company. As we say in Holland "Tot Ziens"
R. Greenslade - Benoni South Africa :
The tour provided everything that was promised. As an SA
resident, with an intimate knowledge of Knysna and the Garden Route,
I can say that Peter was correct with all the information current
and historic.
Andrea Konrad, Stefan Peter - Germany:
Brenda and Eric Turier - Nottingham, UK:
This is just to let you know that we arrived home at midday to-day after a Fabulous holiday, and to thank you both for all that you did for us.
Thank you so much for suggesting the Addo Elephant Park on the morning we left the Game Reserve, and also for taking us to the Elephant Sanctuary and Monkey World. We loved all of them and have brought home so many happy Memories.
We were so excited about going on the Rovos Train as we had heard so much about it and I can honestly say it was fabulous – what luxury! On the morning we were to meet, prior to boarding the train, we had the red carpet treatment, literally, and we were then introduced to Rohan Vos who launched his vintage train in 1989.
He had flown down from Jo’burg that very morning specially to meet us, and we have since learned that he tries to see every Passenger before boarding his train! In the Rovos Rail Lounge we were given champagne and canapés whilst we listened to a two piece orchestra who played beautiful music for us before boarding the train!
As regards the train itself it is so luxurious. What an experience to be pampered so much – truly unforgettable. As regards our stay at Lobengula Lodge at Shamwari Game Reserve, again this was utter luxury and I am so pleased, Lyn, that you arranged for us to stay there. It just has 12 guests staying at any one time And it is so tranquil And peaceful.
On both the train and at Lobengula the food was out of this world. Eric and I have already said that, one day, we would like to return Again to Lobengula – it was such a wonderful experience combined with seeing All the different animals.
We went on 3 game drives and the feeling one gets When seeing the animals in their own habitat is awesome. Again a truly unforgettable experience. Thankyou. Whenever I can I will pass the news around about your Tour Company.
Kind Regards Una Monaghan - Dubai:
Hi Lyn, sorry I haven’t been in touch but things hectic since I got back from South Africa. Just wanted to say thanks for your help with Safari, car reservation etc. The safari day was brilliant, loved every minute of it and so did my sister.
Car hire worked out great too as they upgraded to a bigger car with no extra charge! The rest of the vacation went great, had a fabulous time everywhere and the weather was very good to us. It felt like we were away for a month.
Anyway just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for everything. Best of luck to you and Peter for 2007.
