On our way to Addo Elephant National Park we visit the Raptor, Reptile Centre for a fantastic educational of the rehabilitation of these creatures.  See for yourself the wonderful work that is being done at this sanctuary where these animals and birds are rehabilitated for, or if too humanized then taken care of.  We then continue to the Elephant Park to spend the rest of the day in this wonderful park with surprise viewing on nearly all our visits.  Enjoy possibly viewing herds of the approx 450 elephants in the park.  The antics of these beautiful creatures that have such a wonderful social life together.  Other animals in park are rhino, leopard, lion, buffalo, hyena, warthog, zebra and numerous and various antelopes. Many sightings lately of our wild cats endemic to this area.

Grahamstown Settler Tour

Travel to the 'City of Saints' so called after the more than 40 places of worship.  This town grew from the many 1820 British Settlers who were farming in the area and moved to the garrison to be protected by the troops during the Frontier Wars and many stayed having failed at farming.   Visit the
Grahamstown Settler Monument, the old Fort, the old Goal and different museums as well as the only Camera Obscurer in the Southern Hemisphere.  From there travel to Bathurst for lunch at the Pig and Whistle Hotel built in 1835 by the settlers.  Travel back through Port Alfred and the beautiful marina, Alexandria, the centre of the Chicory Production and arrive back in Port Elizabeth in the late afternoon.

Tsitsikamma Protea Farm and Storms River Mouth

Travel along the Langkloof Valley where the settlers trekked when they left the Cape, many settling in the valley and now a fruit and vegetable farming community, to the beautiful Protea Farm for a refreshment stop and a visit to see how the Fynbos is farmed and exported all over the world.
